The Story

I started LowerMyCommercialTax.com after watching commercial property owners consistently overpay on their taxes — not because they couldn't fight it, but because they didn't know how, didn't have time, or didn't trust the process.

Texas appraisal districts use mass-appraisal models that routinely overvalue commercial properties. The data errors are common. The valuations are often inflated. And the protest process — while public and available to anyone — is easier to navigate when someone explains it clearly.

That's what this site is: free, plain-English guides to the Texas commercial property tax protest process, county-by-county appraisal district details, and practical help preparing and filing your own protest. Every owner has the right to protest under Tax Code Chapter 41 — most just never use it.
